The ZED story

Our client is a successful business with over 10 years’ experience in successfully delivering quality outcomes for key clients across Australia. With a team of 10 consultants, the team delivers on a wide range of specialised organisational services through experience gained across many industries, including: health, education, power and utilities, housing and social services.

This is an exciting time to join this well-established organisation as their Executive Director in Darwin. They have a huge existing client base in the NT and are looking for someone to deliver on existing work, develop new business and continue to grow the business locally.

 

About the role

The demand for services is growing and as an Executive Director you will lead and manage projects including managing the full life-cycle of various engagements from business development to closing the deal; the detailed planning and scheduling for new engagements; through to finalising and closing completed projects.

 

What you will be doing

Your skills will help to determine the types of projects you jump on board with. So too your experiences, interests, and the business needs. Here’s a taste of what you could be sinking your teeth into:

  • Solving complex problems in complex organisations

  • Formulating strategies that drive better outcomes

  • Assisting our clients to future proof their business and respond to change

  • Building and managing stakeholder relationships in a complex and political environment

  • Helping our clients to improve their business through data driven decision making.

You will bring an extensive network of business colleagues and generate business development opportunities that convert into real projects as well as give support and mentor junior staff to lead the practice.

 

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in management consulting

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in your area of technical expertise

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Government or other relevant sectors

  • Demonstrated experience in building and leveraging relationships both internally and externally to foster business development opportunities

  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines

  • Experience in mentoring and managing staff to achieve high quality outcomes for each project

  • Strong and persuasive verbal communication skills and excellent comprehension and written skills

  • Strong business analytical skills

  • Strong business acumen

  • Willingness to travel locally and interstate.
