The Company

UniOne is a student activity management system used by universities across Australia, servicing hundreds of thousands of students every year. The system manages a variety of activities on and off campus for our university clients, including content, memberships, sporting, social and academic club activities, events, merchandise sales and much more. The system is used by universities across Australia, including some of the most prestigious institutions in the world.

EGM Recruitment is partnering with UniOne to look for a General Manager to manage and grow its well-established tech business. After launching 10 years ago, UniOne is now taking their business to the next level.

We are looking for someone to take the helm, bringing with them a proven track record in business management, stakeholder engagement and a passion for engaging people and achieving results.

This is a key leadership role in SA where your focus will be on meeting key milestones and program deliverables. 


The Opportunity

  • Be responsible for the business’s operations across all aspects

  • Manage and deliver on agreed revenue and profit

  • End to end execution and delivery of all contracts

  • Have a broad understanding of software solutions and technical systems and their impacts on business operations

  • Develop and implement robust systems and processes to ensure operational excellence

  • Grow and develop a technical team to further deliver an outstanding service

About You

You will be confident with sales and account management. You will have tertiary qualifications and experience in a consulting, advisory or analyst role where you have achieved successful results in an operational role. 

Skills and Expertise

  • Exceptional leadership and business management capability

  • Confident with sales  and account management

  • Significant ability in strategic thinking, proactive planning, project management and operational execution

  • Proven track record of managing and delivering agreed business outcomes in a positive and collaborative manner

  • Strategic and business planning skills, with the ability to manage risks

  • Superior skills in the management of contractual relationships including cultivating and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships

  • Proven commercial acumen with strategic planning ability

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

  • Experienced with system requirements and design (time or qualifications as a business/systems analyst is desirable)
